Manager / Senior Manager Costing

Overview

We are seeking an experienced  Manager / Senior Manager Costing to oversee cost and budget management functions. This role is essential for improving profitability and operational efficiency through strategic financial oversight and collaboration across departments.


Education, Experience & Skills:

      • Must be a qualified ACMA or ACCA professional.
      • Minimum 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
      • Demonstrated experience within Pharma or Manufacturing sector.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and analyze key cost drivers such as labor, materials and overhead to understand their impact on overall costs and implement strategies to optimize spending.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives and process efficiency improvements across departments to drive profitability and streamline operations.
  • Conduct cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis to evaluate the effects of pricing decisions, volume changes and project budgets on financial outcomes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Investigate and analyze variances between actual and budgeted costs, providing in-depth analysis, identifying root causes and offering actionable solutions to mitigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports that highlight trends, key insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership, supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure the accuracy of cost allocation by implementing and maintaining comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM), Bill of Routing (BOR) and effective routing practices to streamline the costing process.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations and finance, to set realistic and achievable budgets for operating expenses (OPEX), capital expenditures (CAPEX) and project-specific budgets.
  • Continuously monitor and track key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the financial health of the organization, identify areas for improvement and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
