Cost Controller

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Cost Controller to lead cost management, budgeting, inventory oversight and financial reporting. This position is crucial for enhancing profitability and operational efficiency through strategic financial management and cross-departmental collaboration.


Education, Experience & Skills:

      • Must be a qualified ACMA or ACCA professional.
      • Minimum 5+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
      • Demonstrated experience within FMCG or Manufacturing sector.

Key responsibilities:

  •  Cost Management 
    • Identify and analyze cost drivers such as labor, materials and OH.
    • Drive cost reduction and process efficiency initiatives.
    • Conduct CVP analysis to support pricing, volume goals and project budgets.
    • Investigate variances between actual and budgeted costs, providing detailed analysis and solutions.
    • Prepare detailed reports with insights, trends and actionable recommendations.
    • Ensure the accuracy of cost allocation using comprehensive BOM, BOR and efficient routing practices.


  •  Budgeting and Planning 
    • Support the development of Annual Operating Plan.
    • Collaborate with departments to set and manage OpEx, CapEx including project budgets.
    • Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions when needed.
    • Validate assumptions in budget forecasts for accuracy and reliability.
    • Communicate budget expectations and performance measures effectively.
    • Conduct variance analysis and assign budget accountability across teams.
    • Track key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to assess outcomes.


  •  Inventory Management 
    • Define optimal inventory levels based on forecasts, safety stock and lead times.
    • Implement effective inventory control measures and conduct audits for accuracy.
    • Monitor inventory turnover rates and streamline stock levels to reduce holding costs.
    • Apply inventory management techniques like ABC analysis and JIT processes.


  •  Management Reporting 
    • Prepare product-specific P&L statements and detailed financial reports.
    • Lead financial assessments for projects and post-implementation reviews.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Present clear, insightful financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
