Chief Internal Auditor (CIA)

Overview

One of our FMCG client is seeking Head of Internal Audit to play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of their internal audit processes. Reporting directly to CEO, this position holds significant responsibility in leading Internal audit function, ensuring compliance, managing risks, and optimizing operational efficiency throughout the organization.  

Education, Experience & Skills:

• Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant with Big 4 experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing sector preferabely in listed companies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and guide a team towards achieving audit objectives.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive internal audit plans and strategies aligned with company's objectives and annual audit plan.
• Lead a team of internal auditors in conducting audits across all business functions, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and industry standards.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide insightful recommendations to senior management and CEO based on audit findings, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability.
• Lead special investigations or ad-hoc projects as assigned by CEO to address specific concerns or opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, optimize resource allocation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
